P\u00e5 n\u00e5got s\u00e4tt fick jag k\u00e4nslan av att detta inte riktigt \u00e4r Lisa Jewells genre. Hon har t\u00e4nkt ut handligen bra; Ellie Mack har f\u00f6rsvunnit och aldrig hittats. Mamma Laurel m\u00f6ter en ny man i sitt liv, vars dotter Poppy p\u00e5minner om hennes egen dotter. Varf\u00f6r f\u00f6rsvann Ellie och kommer fallet n\u00e5gosin att bli uppklarat?<\/p>\n

Ber\u00e4ttelsen b\u00f6rjar bra, men f\u00f6rfattaren lyckas inte riktigt h\u00e5lla sp\u00e4nningen uppe. Snabbt handlar det mycket om Laurel och hennes familjeproblem; sin ex-make, sin nuvarande pojkv\u00e4n, komplicerat f\u00f6rh\u00e5llande med hennes andra barn osv. Riktningen fr\u00e5n mysteriet med Ellie dras ifr\u00e5n och mittenpartiet blir ganska segt. Mot slutet blir det b\u00e4ttre n\u00e4r tr\u00e5dar b\u00f6rjar nystas upp.<\/p>\n

Jag \u00e4r mycket skeptiskt till uppl\u00f6sningen och trots att boken stundvis h\u00f6ll mig underh\u00e5llen har den ganska m\u00e5nga osannolika h\u00e4ndelser som jag inte k\u00f6per. Jag hade nog st\u00f6rre f\u00f6rv\u00e4ntningar.<\/p>\n
